You have made the decision that you want to be a career actor and you want to break into the professional Film Industry. You ave done countless acting courses and short films.....But how do you groom yourself to get NOTICED and get that key role in that big lockbuster? ....How do you just get in the door?

When you crossover from being an amateur actor to a professional actor, you ultimately become a business person developing, packaging and selling a product. That product is you.

So what is your product? What are you selling and what makes you stand out from the thousands of other actors out there?

Stereotypical casting or typecasting is the way of this industry. Love it or hate it, however you cannot avoid it, and you should embrace it, as it is your secret weapon into the industry.

Essentially it’s all about looks....yep! Sorry, it really is! However, we are not talking about looks in a model sense. It’s more what character do you fit and are believable playing. Are you the nerd, the cop, the doctor? Are you naturally sexy, the vixen or are you more the girl next door? Are you the good looking, strong leading man type or maybe the kooky sidekick? Are you drama or a natural comedian? Do you audition for the right roles and do you really have any idea what Casting Directors see the moment you walk in the door?

Professional actor and acting coach, Noel O’Neill, will work with you to define your type and help develop your acting skills that you naturally possess. Debbie Thoy (Marketer/Producer), will also be in attendance of classes formulating a marketing plan to best present those talents and create an attractive and in demand product for yourself.

LET ME BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU

First, we define your type and create your product (What roles and genre you suit and how to best sell that and how the industry works)

Secondly, we refine your product (Working within your type, we polish your acting technique until it shines)

Thirdly, we show you how to sell your product (What roles you should audition for and how to stand out in a positive way that will give you the advantage over other actors)

This course is not for the beginner or the hobby actor. You need to have some acting experience, but not extensive, however you need to be looking at pursuing acting on a professional level.

There is a 2 week break between the first session and the next session, to allow you to complete a project in preparation for the course. So the course runs over 10 weeks in timeframe.
