The Perth Film Networking Function is a regular event held Bi Monthly. Supported by
Wizard Corporation Productions and the Empyrean, bringing Perth’s film talent together in a casual, safe and
fun environment, with the aim to make new contacts and friends. Open to everyone who is in, or contributes
to, the Film Industry.
Special Event Functions will also be held throughout the year at various Locations
You are required to register to attend all functions
Networking is an essential part of being successful in the film industry. You are not going to be discovered,
make important contacts or learn from others, nomatter how talented you are, if no one has heard of or
even seen you. This is a highly competitive Industry, make it work in your favour ONLY YOU CAN DO IT!..
This is a Function Centre so people under the age of 18 are also welcome to attend. However if you are 16 years and younger, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Businesses are able to advertise at the networking nights (on the general table) if they are a Starbiz Perth Film Network Member. If businesses would like to set up a separate display booth to advertise, please contact Debbie Thoy on 0417 508 114 to organise.

REGISTER TO ATTEND
You need to register to attend. Simply fill out your name and email address and you can either pay online or at the door. If you do not register and turn up on the night you will be charged a higher fee of $10.00. WHY DO YOU NEED TO REGISTER?
There are only 200 places available and we need a min of 100 people to run the event.
The event is catered so we need to know numbers.
We provide name tags and it makes things go much smoother at the door.
We can contact you if there is a change to the event.

to hand out.
Bring pamphlets etc. to hand out and
place on the networking table.
Be open to meeting people. Walk up
and introduce yourself to people you
don’t know. Everyone is there to meet
new people.
Be yourself, this is very important. You
are there to sell you and your product...
being you. Don’t try and be something
you are not. You just don’t know, you
might score a job or at least be
remembered in the future.
Have your Film Trailer, Promo video or
Showreel played through the night
on the 14 plasma screens (not for special events unless specified)
$10 for Star Members
$15 for Non Members
Your reel/clip needs to be no longer than 2.5 minutes, cannot be commercial (please email Debbie if you are a business and want to advertise). Please send it on DVD in data format. As it is being put onto DVD it will be standard definition. Obviously the better the quality of footage the better the end result. Will accept most formats, however be sure that they are not highly compressed. In other words, no internet files please. We are even able to rip off a DVD.
